Question: Staining wood (actually, bamboo) gray?

Would this look good? If not, maybe black? I don't want traditional looking floors. I can't find any pictures of gray- stained wood, so I don't know how it would look... Thanks. Can I restain or refinish the floors a different color? I don't see how gray would be hard to color but I know nothing about floors.

Actually pergo makes a laminate floor that is grey and it is so beautiful. But beware, it's pretty trendy to do this color this year. You could regret it in 3-5 years. Also, home depot sells a brand called traffic master allure and it comes in both light blue and grey.
