Where can i sell unused bamboo flooring at?
they are the easylock bamboo flooring for natural living EL H NS. The place where i bought mines didn't want to buyback or refund the extra boxes. anyone know?
Will dark bamboo floors show everything?
I just bought samboca black dark bamboo floors,for my front entryway, stairs, kitchen, living & dinning room. Now I am freaking out. Will this show every footprint? I took out one panel from the box and saw my fingerprints all over it. I am nervouse that this will show to much dirt & footprints? Especial when the sun hits the floor. I love the color & the material, but before I put it in, should I do this? I am doing half my house, am I crazy to put dark woodflooring in? Main question Will my house look dirty everyday?
Does anyone have bamboo floors?
Do you like them? Are they easy to care for? Any surprises, complaints or suggestions?Bamboo is significantly more sustainable than hardwoods, although I am aware that there are some conerns about whether suppliers are acting responsibly in regard to the environment. Carpet is significantly more toxic than bamboo. Which leaves linoleum or cork neither of which really appeal to me.
Is bamboo flooring a smart way to go?
I have a large bedroom that has had the most luxurious carpeting but it's been in there for about 18 years. I know I need to replace it soon but everyone else in my family has been putting wood floors in their rooms and has been urging me to go the same route. I saw a bamboo flooring at Loew's and wondered if anyone has had any experiences with owning that kind of floor good or bad. I just love the look of the bamboo. The carpeting sure is comfortable but the cleanliness factor can't be compared I suppose to a floor you just sweep clean Thanks in advance for any advice, Lori
16 GA. or 18GA. NAILS FOR BAMBOO HARDWOOD FLOORING?
I am installing bamboo hardwood flooring in my house. I would like to buy my own compressor and nail gun, but 18GA. guns are out of my price range. Are 16GA. nails acceptable for hardwood floors. I do not want to lose quality or strength by installing a smaller nail. The flooring is tongue and groove 5 8" thick.
Bamboo or hardwood flooring & installation in Massachusetts?
I am thinking of having one room done that is approximately 225 square feet. Most of the flooring I see is around $2.97 per square foot. How much is installation? Does anyone know approximately what I should budget for this? I would prefer to use bamboo or reclaimed wood. Cork was too expensive. I guess the installation price will decide whether I can afford it or not. Any suggestions?
Bamboo Floor Installation?
We just removed the carpet from our family room and the builders spray painted the base boards on the cement before installing the carpet. It's not very thick, just over spray. Do we have to scrape up all the paint before glueing down the bamboo floors?Looking for someone who installs hardwood floors and if so, when you remove someones carpet and see paint overspray do you actually get down on the ground and scrap the paint up with a razor blade? We have done this for three other rooms and it's very time consuming and hard work. Just wondering if the glue would stick to the ground even with a little over spray. This room is very big and I can't imagine with all the hardwood floors getting installed that the installers would need to scrape all the paint before installing wood.
